The 90-Second Ramadan Campaign: How a Cairo Boutique Sent 847 Messages With One Prompt

By Omar Eltak · July 9, 2026 · 4 min read

Wednesday, 4:11 PM Cairo time. The owner of a small Cairo boutique opens the OT1-Pro chat on her phone during a taxi ride. She types one sentence:

"Ramadan promo, Cairo only, WhatsApp. Regulars from the last 90 days. 20% off with code RAMADAN20. Send Thursday 9am."

Ninety seconds later the campaign is scheduled. She puts her phone down and finishes the taxi ride.

What Nara actually did in those 90 seconds

Behind that one sentence, the AI ran four steps:

  1. Parsed the audience. "Cairo only, regulars from the last 90 days" resolved to 847 customers.
  2. Drafted a WhatsApp message in the boutique's known voice: casual, warm, Egyptian Arabic mixed with English brand terms. Not a template.
  3. Estimated cost and volume. 412 EGP for the send. ~120 expected replies based on the boutique's historical reply rate.
  4. Waited for approval. The owner tapped "Ship it" at a stoplight.

What Thursday looked like

Thursday 9:00 AM Cairo: the WhatsApp broadcast went out to 847 customers. By 9:15, replies started landing in the unified inbox. By noon, 74 people had replied.

Nara handled the first message on every reply — answering "do you have my size?", "what colors?", "when does delivery arrive?" — pulling answers from the boutique's product catalog. When a reply looked like a real buying signal ("I want two, can I pay online?") it flagged the conversation and pushed it to the owner's screen.

By end of day: 19 confirmed orders, 42,000 EGP in revenue. The boutique owner personally handled 12 of the closes. Nara handled the other 62 conversations without her touching them.

What this replaces

Before OT1-Pro, this same campaign for the same boutique took a Wednesday afternoon of work:

  • Export customer list from her POS to CSV.
  • Filter for Cairo purchases in the last 90 days in Excel.
  • Import to a WhatsApp broadcast tool.
  • Write the message. Approve internally. Get feedback. Rewrite.
  • Schedule. Cross fingers.
  • Thursday: manually reply to every WhatsApp that comes back, missing many because she was serving in-store customers at the same time.

Old workflow: 3 hours setup, 9 hours of reply-juggling on Thursday, unknown number of missed messages.

New workflow: one taxi ride, one sentence, one tap. Every reply handled.

The lesson is not "AI is magic"

The lesson is that the wizard was the bottleneck all along. Once you remove the wizard, the campaign takes as long as thinking about the campaign — which is how it should have worked from the start.
